Legal action and extended retention
In the event of legal action, the EPFL Legal Service contacts the course teacher to obtain a copy of the student's exam. If the teacher is no longer at EPFL, the request is submitted to the section.
End of the retention period
CePro deletes exam files from the Archive NAS once the applicable retention period has expired, subject to the exceptions below.
Special cases
For students whose studies may be extended — for example certain students with special arrangements or justified absences — the corresponding exam PDFs may require extended retention.
The migrated documentation instructs that these cases be verified and the corresponding PDFs placed in the extended_conservation folder before standard exam files are deleted.
