AMC Gold workflow

This workflow applies only to courses receiving AMC Gold support. Exact steps may vary between common exams; the sequence below reflects the standard coordination documented by CePro.

Before the exam

  1. The coordinator contacts CePro.
  2. CePro sends the planning/schedule to the coordinator.
  3. The coordinator and course teachers collect and select common questions.
  4. Teachers prepare their specific questions.
  5. The coordinator and CePro compile the common and specific parts.
  6. Course teachers review the compilation and request changes.
  7. Teachers prepare the required translations.
  8. The coordinator and CePro compile translations and changes.
  9. The coordinator requests final changes and a final compilation is produced.
  10. Teachers check and validate the final PDFs.
  11. CePro sends the PDFs to the EPFL Print Center and coordinates with the course coordinator.
  12. Teachers handle special arrangements and collect the printed exam boxes from the Print Center.

Exam and correction

  1. The exam takes place.
  2. Teachers correct open questions when applicable.
  3. Copies are returned to the Print Center.
  4. CePro coordinates cutting, scanning and AMC pre-processing, including validation of doubtful crosses when necessary.
  5. CePro provides annotated PDFs and results/statistics through the supported platform.
  6. Teachers verify the transmitted results and files.
  7. Teachers agree on the final grading scale.
  8. Grades are exported and imported into ISA according to the course process.
  9. The teaching team contacts CePro to close the CePro exam process.

If the section uses digital archiving, follow the section/CePro archiving process. Otherwise, teachers retrieve the exam boxes from the Print Center.
